Armenian Airlines, Salam Air Oman, and Saudi Flyadeal crossed Iraqi airspace for the first time.
The General Iraqi Air Navigation Services Company affiliated with the Ministry of Transport announced that three international airlines crossed Iraqi airspace for the first time.
According to Shafaq News, Nizar Ibrahim al-Ziyadi, General Manager of Iraqi Air Navigation Services General Company, said that crossing Iraqi airspace is currently welcomed by airlines.
He added that today and for the first time, Armenian Airlines, Salam Air Oman, and Saudi Flyadeal crossed the airspace of Iraq.
Al-Ziyadi pointed out that Iraq has an important strategic position and is considered the shortest air route between East and West.
