An Iraqi economic expert announced that China’s exports to Iraq reached 7.5 billion dollars in the first 7 months of this year with a 30% growth compared to the same period last year.
According to Al-Furat News, Iraqi economic expert “Manar Al-Obeidi” published a report and emphasized that China’s exports to Iraq in the first 7 months of 2021 were equal to 5.8 billion dollars, and in the first 7 months of 2022 increased by 30% and reached to 7.5 billion dollars.
Separately for each month, China’s largest export to Iraq was in January this year, reaching 1.5 billion dollars.
China’s exports to Iraq have shown a growth of 52% since 2017.
It is predicted that China’s exports to Iraq will reach about 13 billion dollars by the end of this year, breaking the country’s exports to Iraq in the last 5 years.
On the other hand, according to a report published in February of this year, the statistics of the Chinese Customs Administration show that Iraq’s oil exports to China’s private oil refineries increased by 235.3% from 3.8 million barrels in December to 12.829 million barrels in January.
According to this report, this export shows a growth of 49.5% compared to January of last year.
Thus, after Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Malaysia, Iraq was the fourth largest oil exporter to China in January.
